The BAND recorded six volumes in its 1987-97 series of stereophonic cassette albums entitled CONFEDERATE BAND CONCERTS. The cassettes are now out of stock.
The compact disc format, entitled CIVIL WAR BAND CONCERTS, began with CD #1 in 1999. For CD-1 only the price is $18.00 each plus $2.60 S&H . (Georgians add $1.26 tax.) All other CDs are boxed in pairs: CDs 2 & 3 or CDs 4 & 5 is $36.00 plus $5.20 S&H. (Georgians add $2.52 tax.) Allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery of the first three CDs; schedules for CDs 4 through 7 will be posted later. (Non-US checks must be drawn on American banks; no foreign money orders, please.)
All CD tracks (some live, some in studio) were recorded on DAT masters then duplicated in real time with peerless digital sound. Each CD runs 1 hour or longer, with Dixie in one of 6 period arrangements on every album, and Bonnie Blue Flag on all but CD#3. Booklet notes accompany the CDs to provide musical, historical, and military information about the selections. Dramatic appeal is enhanced in several cases by interweaving battle sounds with band music and the narration of actual events during the war. Numerous photographs are included in the series, many released for the first time. CD #1 booklet, which introduces the series, begins with a history of the Band, the Regiment, and the Confederate Army of Tennessee.
The CD series represents a revision, enlargement, and re-mastering of all of the archival digital audio material plus many new recordings. In USA send check or money order to the address shown above. (Vendor discounts are offered for quantity orders.)
